Challenger Comics is a self-publishing comic book imprint, focusing on short-form, small-run, and collected creator-owned comics.
Acting as a comics collective, Challenger Comics exists as a one-stop-hub for readers, consumers, peers, and retailers to discover new work and talent. Challenger Comics was formed as a means to feature some of the bold work being created independently through free online comics or through the online store—offering print and DRM-free digital options.
Much like the comic convention or gallery experience, Challenger Comics provides a simple way for audiences to discover work, read it, buy it, and support it.
Challenger comics aims to provide a means for creators to have their self-published comics under the collective’s imprint as a way to achieve readership and web-presence, as well as the opportunity to reach into sales.
Challenger Comics—curated by publishers Ryan Ferrier and Brian Level—proudly supports creator-owned comics since its launch in October, 2012.
